Spotify Music Quiz is expanding beyond BTS to more than 2,000 artists. Spotify announced the rollout on October 6, 2026. It brings artist trivia to Premium subscribers aged 18 or older in 11 countries. However, eligible listeners may still have to wait for it to appear.

Who can use Spotify Music Quiz?

The launch covers the US, UK, Canada, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, India, Nigeria, South Africa and Indonesia. Quizzes are in English at launch, and only participating artists have them. Spotify says more artists, languages and markets will follow, but gives no dates for those additions.

Availability also varies by listener. Spotify cautions that “it may not show up for every artist or every listener right away.” A missing card therefore does not tell you whether the artist is unsupported or your account is still awaiting access.

How to find and play a quiz

  1. First, update Spotify to the latest version, as the company recommends.
  2. Next, play a track by a participating artist and open the Now Playing view.
  3. Then scroll down to the Music Quiz card and tap it to begin.
  4. Finish the quiz to see your score. You can also share your result and challenge friends.

Questions cover an artist’s music and career, with album-art reveals and song identification from audio previews. For example, Spotify’s demonstration asks players to identify an artist’s breakthrough single. It shows three increasingly difficult rounds, labeled Easy, Medium and Hard, followed by an overall percentage score and a friend-challenge button.

From a BTS quiz to more artists

Previously, Spotify introduced its BTS Music Quiz on March 20 alongside the group’s album ARIRANG. That version reached Premium listeners globally in six languages. By contrast, the broader artist rollout starts with the 11-country, English-language scope above. Those earlier country and language settings describe the BTS launch, not the current expansion.
